<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent for a blood vessel, making medical treatment for an aneurysm of an abdominal aorta. <P>SOLUTION: A tubular implant 42 includes an annular fastening ring 30 folded in an axis along the diameter to be inserted in the intra-corporeal pathway. When the fastening ring 30 is put in a fixed position of the intra-corporeal pathway, it is elastically restored outward and elastically deflected continuously by the inner surface of the intra-corporeal pathway. The fastening ring 30 can be fitted to the opposite ends of the tubular implant 42. The annular ring 30 located in the intra-corporeal pathway can be selectively expanded and/or in some embodiments, a contracting applicator is used to locate the ring 30 and the implant 42 joined thereto in the intra-corporeal pathway. A holding member may be used to hold the annular ring 30 in the compressed state until the annular ring 30 reaches a desired position in the intra-corporeal pathway. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
