<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide image equipment which has an optical element such that dirt on its incident surface and projection surface can be removed with simple constitution, and a camera. <P>SOLUTION: A half-mirror 401, which is disposed in an optical path of photography and has an incident surface where luminous flux is made incident and an exit surface where luminous flux is made to exit, has the incident surface coated with a TiO<SB>2</SB>film (photocatalyst layer) 453 having a photocatalytic function for light in a wavelength range of 300 to 400 nm, and also has the exit surface coated with a TiO<SB>2</SB>film (photocatalyst layer) 463 having a photocatalytic function for light in a wavelength range of at least >400 nm. Stuck matter sticking on both the incident surface and exit surface of the half-mirror 401 is decomposed to keep both the surfaces clean. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
