<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove mercury from treating object gas and to suppress the occurrence of corrosion due to a mercury removing agent. <P>SOLUTION: This mercury removal apparatus separates insoluble mercury by converting it to water-soluble mercury and removes the water-soluble mercury from the treating object gas in a treatment chamber 4B1. The apparatus is provided with reaction separation means 4B1, 4B2, 43 bringing treating object liquid W2 containing a mercury oxidizing agent having a substance as a component with a redox potential equal to or below that which causes corrosion of inner walls or inner structure of the treatment chamber 4B1, into contact with the treating object gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
