<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting lead wire used for a solar battery module, which connects electrically between strings in the solar battery module, and ensures the electric insulation between the lead wires arranged adjacently, and increases the production efficiency, and attains the reduction of cost. <P>SOLUTION: The connecting lead wire 1 is used for a solar battery module in which a plurality of solar battery cells connected in series by an inter-connector are arranged. The connecting lead wire 1 is provided with a trunk portion 2 and one or more branch portions 3a, 3b. In the trunk portion 2, an enamel coating layer 5 is provided on a conductor 4. In each of the branch portions 3a, 3b, a solder plating layer is provided on the conductor 4. The branch portion 3b protrudes from the trunk portion 2 in a lateral direction, and connected to an electrode of each of the solar battery cells.
