PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed type lead-acid battery having exhaust structure capable of enhancing a leakage preventive effect of a liquid from an external exhaust hole and a clogging preventive effect for an explosion-proof filter, in a process for discharging gas containing a foggy liquid generated in a cell chamber, from the external exhaust hole provided in a lid to an outside, via an exhaust tower and an exhaust passage, under an operation of the lead-acid battery or in recharge therefor. SOLUTION: This lead-acid battery comprises a battery jar 4 having the plurality of cell chambers 4b partitioned by a partitioning wall, and the lid 1 arranged with exhaust cylinders 7 with a safety valve 9 communicated with the respective cell chambers 4b in the battery jar, and is provided with the exhaust passage 5b' for guiding gas discharged from the exhaust cylinder 7, to the external exhaust hole 3a provided in the lid 1, inside the lid 1.
