PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound system capable of dealing with increase/decrease in audio sources flexibly and reducing a processing burden, and to provide a method of designing the same. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a sound system comprising: a plurality of sound adapters corresponding to sound elements indicating attributes of sounds; a sound output means for outputting an output sound of a sound source device to a sound adapter corresponding to a sound element to which the relevant output sound belongs; and a sound processing means for performing processing based on the sound element on a sound input to each of the sound adapters.
