PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slave screen display device which enables a user to perform viewing corresponding to a situation of use without performing complicated operation in every initiation, and enables the user to freely set a display system, thereby even when the situation changes, can easily adapt to the change. SOLUTION: A display control apparatus 1 is a digital broadcast receiver, for example, capable of being operated by an input device 5 such as a remote control device and includes: an input place discriminating section 31 for discriminating an input place of an operating signal; an input signal discriminating section for discriminating a class of the input signal; and a display form determining section for determining a display form based on the input signal and the input place. On the basis of the display form determined by the display form determining section and display video, the display form is adjusted in a display form change section and changed as needed. An input device includes an operating signal input function and an operating signal sending section. In the display control apparatus, the display form is determined based on the input place discriminated based on a remote control signal or the like and the signal class discriminated based on a signal input to a video signal input section that is a video signal input interface.
