PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding device, in which both space saving and energy saving are advanced and, at the same time, a trouble of the unfolding of the doubled part of a doubled saddle stitchingly bookbound booklet due to its elasticity is solved. SOLUTION: In the bookbinding device provided with a folding means for folding a plurality of sheets and a binding means for stapling or the like, a perforating means for perforating along a fold as the auxiliary fold of the folding means is provided so as to simultaneously execute a binding working action by perforation and with the binding means, resulting in improving the make of the folding and enabling to realize a more highly dignified booklet.
