PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an electric vehicle capable of determining in real time the deterioration of a capacitor of a power storage device. SOLUTION: A DC power from an overhead wire 11 is supplied to an inverter device 20 via a DC/DC converter device 17 and a power storage device 19. The motor of an electric car is operated by the inverter device 20, and the regenerative energy of the motor is absorbed into a capacitor 22 of the power storage device 19. A charge/discharge control part 26 controls the charge/discharge currents and charge/discharge time from the capacitor 22 of the power storage device 19 in charging/discharging. A monitoring part 24 determines the deterioration of the capacitor 22, based on abruptness in the rise of a capacitor voltage. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
