A band-specified signal conversion unit (101) generates WLI-R, WLI-G, WLI-B for generating a normal observation light image from an RGB image signal obtained by irradiation of a set of planar successive lights by a rotary filter (14) and NBI-R, NBI-G, NBI-B for generating a narrow-band light image. A synthesis circuit (201) combines the planar successive color signals WLI-R, WLI-G, WLI-B with the planar successive color signals NBI-R, NBI-G, NBI-B.Thus, with a simple configuration, it is possible to simultaneously observe the same biological organ in real time through a normal light observation image and a narrow-band light observation. |
