A method for testing the microstructure of a welded joint (10, 12, 14) for interior damage, for example, due to material creepage, comprises the following steps: creating at least one ultrasonic surface wave by means of a first test head (30), receiving of the at least one ultrasonic surface wave by means of a second test head (32, 42), determining the acoustic properties within the structural conditions on the basis of the relation between a created and received ultrasonic surface wave, and determining the degree of damage of the interior structural conditions on the basis of the acoustic properties ascertained. |
