The invention relates to cable cars for amusement purposes comprising linear, vertical guide devices and bogies, on which the ends of the cable are suspended. Said cars must be driven into specific positions to permit the installation to function and the passenger unit to roll along the cable to the other end. The installation can thus only be used in two settings and only a small proportion of the space available between the guide devices is used. In addition, the course of movement of the passenger unit is restricted to the course of the supporting cable. The invention is characterised by bogies (3) which can be synchronously driven and between which the supporting cable (5) is harnessed. Said bogies are situated at all times at the same height (4) along the guide device (2) and can only be driven synchronously. In addition, the passenger unit (1) that is suspended on the supporting cable (5) can be moved by means of a drive (12). This allows the passenger unit (1) to use the entire area between the guide devices (2) and permits an unrestricted absolute movement (14) within a plane (15). Said cable car that can execute a combination of movements is particularly suitable for use as a cable car for amusement purposes. |
