<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel for improving reflection efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display panel includes: first and second substrates defining a plurality of unit pixels, each unit pixel comprising a red sub-pixel area, a green sub-pixel area, a blue sub-pixel area, and a white sub-pixel area; a thin film transistor formed on the first substrate; a pixel electrode connected to the thin film transistor; a reflection electrode which is connected to the pixel electrode and which is formed in such a way that the white sub-pixel area achieves an image with external light, and sub-pixel areas of red, green, and blue achieve the images with at least one light out of internal light and the external light; red, green, and blue color filters formed in the red, green, and blue sub-pixel areas, respectively, of the second substrate; and a light hole formed in the second substrate exposing the white sub-pixel area of the first substrate and exposing at least a portion of the red sub-pixel area, the green sub-pixel area, or the blue sub-pixel area of the second substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
