<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a visually handicapped person to surely select and input his or her desired switch section concerning an electrostatic capacity type touch switch. <P>SOLUTION: In this input device, when a switch section 15 is lightly touched with a finger 10, output from a frequency/voltage conversion circuit part 3 is increased, and the first proximity stage is decided by a decision means 12, and a voice guidance to explain the function of the switch section 15 is generated by a voice circuit section 19. When the switch section is not his or her desired one according to the guidance, an operator makes the finger 10 slide up and down and right and left to search his or her desired switch section, and when the switch section is his or her desired one, the operator strongly depresses it, and the second proximity stage is decided, and the function assigned to the switch section 15 is executed by a control means 1. Thus, it is possible for the operator to confirm whether or not the operator is touching his or her desired switch section in advance to execute an operation.
