PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to arrange respective icons in a shape intended by a user through an easy operation. SOLUTION: When designation of respective icons to be re-arranged is accepted from the user by an object icon accepting part 8 and a route of movement showen by a locus of a cursor moved in accordance with user's operation of a pointing device (input device 4) such as a mouse is accepted by an arrangement condition accepting part 7 as a shape to arrange the icons, position coordinates of the icons are calculated on the route at predetermined intervals, and pertinent icon information in an icon information holding part 2 is updated. Icons on a screen 3 are displayed again by a display processing part 5 in accordance with contents of updated icon information, and the icons are arranged in the shape designated by the user.
