PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grooved hydrodynamic thrust gas bearing having high bearing rigidity. SOLUTION: The grooved hydrodynamic thrust gas bearing 10D comprises a through hole 11a provided in the center of the bearing surface facing to a shaft Ax and a plurality of groove parts 12d provided on the bearing surface, and the plurality of groove parts 12d each have a first groove part 12d<SB>1</SB>starting frame a position spaced from the through hole 11a and extending in one peripheral direction as it proceeds to the outside, and a second groove part 12d<SB>2</SB>communicating with an outside end portion of the first groove part 12d<SB>1</SB>, extending in the other peripheral direction as it proceeds to the outside, and being opened to the outside surface of the grooved hydrodynamic thrust gas bearing 10D.
