PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counter electrode voltage generation circuit which can inexpensively prevent the generation of sound due to the vibration of a counter electrode with low power consumption, a source driver, an electro-optic device and electronic equipment. SOLUTION: The counter electrode voltage generation circuit for generating a counter electrode voltage to be applied to a counter electrode opposed to a pixel electrode in the electro-optic device via an electro-optic substance includes a means for changing the level of the counter electrode voltage one or more times during one horizontal scanning period in which the counter electrode voltage of a second level changed from a first level is applied to the counter electrode.
