ELECTROMAGNETIC DRIVING TYPE OPTICAL DEFLECTION ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic driving type optical deflection element having reduced number of components and driven at a wider angle and at lower speed without exerting the adverse influence of metal wiring on the mechanical characteristic of the beam of an optical deflection element. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic driving type optical deflection element is provided with: a movable part having a light reflection face and a coil; a base part having a magnetic field forming means; and a beam part which pivotally supports the movable part on the base part, wherein the movable part is turned by electromagnetic force generated by the electric current flowing in the coil and the magnetic field formed by the magnetic field forming means. The beam part 108 of the electromagnetic driving type optical deflection element is composed of a single material that has: a function as a conductor which supplies an electric current to the coil; a function to support the movable part; and a function as a spring which returns the movable part to a reference position.
