PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ease the complexity of wiring of a main power supply circuit connected to a large display apparatus. SOLUTION: The display apparatus (112) is provided with a plurality of gas discharge tubes (11) in which phosphor layers (4R, 4G, 4B) are formed, discharge gas is filled and a plurality of light-emitting points exist in the longitudinal direction, a plurality of pairs of display electrodes (2) arranged on the display surface side of the gas discharge tubes (11), and a plurality of signal electrodes (3) arranged on the rear side of the gas discharge tubes (11). A plurality of scanning circuits is connected to a first common conductor (63) and a second common conductor (66). The first common conductor (63) is connected to a first power supply for supplying a first DC voltage (-Vy) for scanning pulses. The second common conductor (66) is connected to one terminal of a second power supply (615) for supplying a second DC voltage (Vsc, -Vy+Vsc) for scanning pulses and the other terminal of the second power supply (615) is connected to the first common conductor (63). In an address period, the plurality of scanning circuits connect either one of the first common conductor (63) to which the DC voltage of the first power supply is supplied and the second common conductor (66) to which one terminal of the second power supply is connected to one display electrodes (2, Y1-Yn).
