PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the dispersion of metal nano-particles having high preservation stability and excellent dispersion stability, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This dispersion of metal nano-particles is provided by containing the dispersion of (X) a polymer compound having (a) a branched polyalkylene imine chain, (b) a hydrophilic segment and (c) a hydrophobic segment, and (Y) metal nano-particles. The method for producing the dispersion of metal nano-particles is provided by dispersing the polymer compound having (a) the branched polyalkylene imine chain, (b) hydrophilic segment and (c) hydrophobic segment with a solvent, then adding a metal salt or metal ion solution, reducing the metal ion to make the metal nano-particles.
