A method for searching images in a digital image processing device is provided to search a desired image rapidly and conveniently by reflecting a user's record of image regeneration. A digital image processing device respectively grants weights to stored images according to frequency in regeneration of the stored images(S100). At a certain time, the digital image processing device rearranges the stored images according to the granted weights, and stores the rearrangement information(S102). Based on a user's button input operation, the digital image processing device searches for an associated image according to the rearrangement information or the primarily stored order(S104).
