<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system in which residual moisture can be removed if the residual moisture of an end cell arranged at an end in a direction of a stack lamination layer exceeds a predetermined standard volume, and to provide a method of controlling the same. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell stack includes an end cell arranged in an end of a beginning side end or an ending last side in a direction of a stack lamination and a stack body arranged to pinch the end cell and an insulation member, and includes a power extraction means which makes the end cell generate power and extracts the generated power while the stack body is not in a state of power generation. The power extracting means connects a cathode and an anode of the end cell with a load electrically and makes the end cell generate power and supplies the power to a load. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
