<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a fluid flow more smoothly especially through a U-turn portion of a serpentine type passage. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell separator 20 has a serpentine fluid passage 19 through which for a reaction gas or a cooling water to flow, where a U-turn part 10 for changing the flow direction of the reaction gas or the cooling water is continuously curved with almost constant curvature, and a fluid inlet 19a or a fluid outlet 19b of the ends of the serpentine fluid passage 19 is placed along the U-turn part 10.
