<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce deterioration in signal quality due to crosstalk between optical paths while taking account of the impact of dynamic crosstalk and intra-crosstalk in an optical switch module. <P>SOLUTION: A wavelength multiplexed optical signal (wavelengths λ1-λn) inputted from a plurality (m) of wavelength multiplexed transmission paths is demultiplexed to optical signals of respective wavelengths and input to each input port. Optical signals of respective wavelengths output from each output port by cross-connection are multiplexed in correspondence with the plurality (m) of wavelength multiplexed transmission paths and output to each wavelength multiplexed transmission path as a wavelength multiplexed signal. In such an optical cross-connection device, I/O port of an optical switch module is divided into m regions for each wavelength multiplexed transmission path and the I/O ports corresponding to respective wavelengths are arranged in the m regions with such a regularity as a predetermined interval uncontiguous at least between the same wavelengths is ensured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
