<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional lamp for a vehicle as to the number of the components and the manufacturing cost for miniaturization. <P>SOLUTION: A first auxiliary reflecting surface 4 comprises an ellipse or an ellipse-based free-form curved surface, in which a first focus F1 is positioned at or near a light emitting section 20 of a light source 2 and a second focus F2 is positioned inside the vehicle with respect to the first focus F1. A main reflecting surface 3 is disposed within a virtual ellipse 41 of the first auxiliary reflecting surface 4.
