<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an aperture ratio by increasing transmittance in a transmissive display region or reflectance in a reflective display region in a liquid crystal display panel having pixels comprising the transmissive display regions and the reflective display regions. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has a display region which is composed of a plurality of pixels two-dimensionally arranged along an extension direction of scanning signal lines and along that of image signal lines, wherein the display region has: a first pixel column comprising a plurality of first pixels each having only the transmissive display region aligned and arranged in the extension direction of the scanning signal lines; and a second pixel column comprising a plurality of second pixels each having the reflective display region and the transmissive display region aligned and arranged in the extension direction of the scanning signal lines, both columns being alternately arranged in the extension direction of the image signal lines. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
