MILDEW PROOFING AGENT FOR FOOD USING MYRRH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mildew proofing agent for foods being safe to human bodies and having rapid effect and persistency.

SOLUTION: The mildew proofing agent for foods is characterized by using a myrrh resin and/or a myrrh extract obtained by extracting the myrrh resin with an alcohol or an alcohol diluted with water. The mildew proofing agent for foods has effect preventing or retarding occurrence of mildew in processed foods and green crops. The mildew proofing agent is free from restriction of use as food additive and is safe and useable for wide fields, because the agent uses the myrrh resin which a substance derived from natural material.
