PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a supply speed as a flow velocity of the air supplied from a supply opening 22 without changing air conditioning capacity, in an indoor unit 10 of an air conditioner conditioning the air of an indoor space. SOLUTION: The indoor unit 10 is constituted to make a supply area as an area of a part from which the air is supplied, of the supply opening 22 variable. A control portion 50 is disposed to change the supply area according to an operating state of the indoor unit 10.
