PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary device for obtaining efficient cleaning effects in a root vegetable-cleaning facility. SOLUTION: The rotary device for the root vegetable-cleaning facility has a body 26 equipped with many rotating bodies 20 connected to a chain conveyor and attached to a shaft 24 of an attaching plate 22 so as to be rotatable, gripping parts 28 for gripping an unnecessary part of a material to be cleaned, carrying parts 32 for carrying the unnecessary part of the material to be cleaned, protrusions 36 used for rotating the body 26 by using the shaft 24 as the center, and buckets for carrying the main part of the material to be cleaned. The rotary device also has upper-side rails for gripping the unnecessary part of the material to be cleaned by rotating the gripping parts 28, and lower-side rails for rotating the body 26 by contacting with the protrusion by centering the shaft 24. The chain conveyor is operated in a state of the main part of the material to be cleaned in which the bucket carries the unnecessary part of the material to be cleaned on the carrying part 32. The unnecessary part of the material to be cleaned is gripped by rotating the gripping part 28 by allowing the gripping part 28 to contact with the upper-side rail, and the main part of the material to be cleaned is rotated by rotating the body by allowing the protrusion 36 to contact with the lower-side rail.
