PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain display of high quality by preventing reduction in contrast due to deviation of an alignment axis of a photo-alignment treatment liquid crystal from the axis subjected to photo-alignment treatment by influence of step difference and perturbation of alignment of liquid crystal molecules. SOLUTION: A rugged part using a plurality of transparent projecting stripes TL is formed in a direction nearly orthogonal to an alignment treatment direction S in an upper half region A of one pixel. An alignment direction RSA by the projecting stripes TL is a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the projecting stripes TL and influence of alignment RA caused by the step difference of a slit PZS of a pixel electrode PX is reduced. A rugged part using a plurality of transparent projecting stripes TL is formed in a direction nearly orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the slit PZS of the pixel electrode PX in a region B. An alignment direction RSB by the projecting stripes TL is a direction parallel to the longitudinal direction of the projecting stripes TL. Influence of an alignment direction RB by the step difference of the slit PZS of the pixel electrode PX is reduced by the alignment direction RSB by the projecting stripes TL.
