PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an elastic crawler with a required dimension when a substance with a heat-shrinkable material is used as a tensile body. SOLUTION: After a first belt-like rubbery article 6a is vulcanized and molded into the tensile article 5 in a first mold 8, end parts of this tensile article 5 are overlapped with each other, and a lug 3 of a part of the vulcanized belt-like rubbery article 6a is stored in a lug storing recessed part 25 of a second mold 22. The belt-like rubbery body is vulcanized and stuck on the overlapped part 31 by a recessed part 28 for forming a second lug of the second mold 22 to form the lug 3. A pitch P2 of the recessed part 28 for forming the second lug of the second mold 22 is formed smaller than the pitch P0 of the recessed part 9 for forming the lug of the first mold 8.
