PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction stirring and joining tool having a long lifetime and manufactured at low cost. SOLUTION: The friction stirring and joining tool 1 comprises a columnar rotating body 12 and a probe 11 which is coaxially protruded from a shoulder of its end face. A probe 11 is inserted in a rotating manner into a joined portion with a pair of members to be joined being abutted on each other, and the probe is stirred and joined therewith while being softened by the generated friction heat. The probe 11 and the rotating body 12 are attachable/detachable to/from each other, and the probe 11 is formed of a cemented carbide or a cobalt-based alloy steel (MP159).
