PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid storing container which can enlarge the flow path section of a liquid flow path communicating a liquid storing room with the outside and can suppress the pressure loss small. SOLUTION: When a feeding needle 107 is pushed into the liquid storing container, a valve 102A provided in the liquid flow path communicating with the liquid storing room is moved to an opening position. Then, while the valve 102A holds the opening position, the feeding needle 107 is pushed back and eventually the feeding needle 107 is held under a condition separated from the valve 102A. Thereafter, when the feeding needle 107 is pushed into the liquid container, the valve 102A is moved to a closed position. Then, even when the feeding needle 107 is removed from the liquid storing container, the valve 102A holds the closed position. A mechanism for alternately repeating such an operation as this is provided. A constitution that the feeding needle 107 is held under a condition that it is separated from the valve 102A is provided when the liquid storing container is mounted on a recording apparatus.
