摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cut point detection system capable of highly accurately detecting a cut point from moving image compressed data at a high speed and highly accurately identifying the contents of a shot sectioned by the detected cut point at a high speed further, a shot identification system using the cut point detection system, a cut point detection method and a cut point detection program. <P>SOLUTION: MBT information is extracted for each frame from the moving image compressed data including the MBT information, the frequency of including a specified MBT is obtained from the extracted MBT information for each frame, and a prescribed MBT symbol is imparted to each frame corresponding to the feature in terms of the frequency. Also, by arranging the MBT symbols so as to correspond to a frame order, an MBT symbol sequence is prepared. The cut point of moving images is discriminated from the feature in terms of an array of the MBT symbols in the MBT symbol sequence, and the shot is identified by an estimation model using the MBT symbol sequence. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p>
