<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet transfer test device and a packet transfer test method which can surely specify discarded packets in the packet transfer test. <P>SOLUTION: The packet transfer test device is used, which is featured to be provided with a creation means which creates a plural kinds of testing packets having respective peculiar ID numbers, a transmission means which transmits the plurality of testing packets to a testing device for each kind, a first counting means which counts a transmitted number of testing packets for each kind, a receiving means which receives the testing packets from the testing device for each kind based on the ID number, a second counting means which counts the received number of testing packets for each kind, and a processing means which specifies that the kind of testing packets in which a counted value of the received number of testing packets is less than a counted value of the transmitted number of the testing packets as discarded packets when transmission and receiving of the testing packets finish. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
