<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for inserting a search instrument into a wellbore, which enables the search instrument to be safely and easily inserted into the wellbore with a large angle of inclination, and the horizontal wellbore. <P>SOLUTION: This device 1 for inserting the search instrument into the wellbore comprises a main body 3, and a seal member 19 for sealing a section between a second pipe body 9 and a cable 89 which is inserted into the main body. The main body 3 is formed of a first pipe body 5 into which an excavation fluid can flow, and the second pipe body 9 which branches off from and communicates with the first pipe body 5.
