<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner supply roller suppressing toner retention and toner crack while maintaining a toner conveying performance and a toner scraping performance, and to provide a developing device equipped with the roller. <P>SOLUTION: The toner supply roller has a projecting part 33 forming continuous ruggedness in the peripheral direction thereof on the surface of a foamed elastic layer 32 positioned on the uppermost surface. Further, the side surface 34 of the projecting part 33 has a continuously curved surface with a root part curved and spread outward. The shape of the projecting part 33 satisfies the following relations; a(average cell diameter of foamed elastic body)≤b(width of apex surface of projecting part)<e(width of root part of projecting part)<d(pitch of projecting part)≤n(nip width), and a(cell diameter)≤c(height of projecting part). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
