PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory device and a transmitter capable of avoiding a function stop state of an apparatus, and restricting a cause of function stop of the apparatus only to a device failure. SOLUTION: This transmitter for transmitting a physical quantity includes a processor for calculating the physical quantity by operating a signal from a sensor; and a reservation nonvolatile memory connected to the microprocessor, for reserving operation data. The transmitter also includes a waiting nonvolatile memory formed by a hardware different from the reservation nonvolatile memory, for taking backup of data stored in the reservation nonvolatile memory.
