DISPERSION CONTAINING FLAME-RESISTANT POLYMER, FLAME-RESISTING FIBER AND CARBON FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion containing a flame-resistant polymer and having improved form stability of the flame-resistant polymer delivered through a spinneret and physical stability of the formed material in washing step. SOLUTION: The dispersion contains a flame-resistant polymer having a tensile strength of 5-450 gf/mm2per unit cross-section in water and dispersed in an organic solvent. The flame-resistant polymer is produced by heating an acrylonitrile polymer preferably in an organic solvent in the presence of at least one kind of material selected from acids, acid anhydrides and acid chlorides, and the organic solvent is preferably a polar organic solvent.
