PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having excellent controlling activities against a pest. SOLUTION: The N'-alkylbenzoylurea compound represented by formula (I) [wherein, X and Y are each independently a fluorine atom or a chlorine atom; R<SP>1</SP>is a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group which may be substituted with one or more halogen atoms, or the like; R<SP>2</SP>is a lower alkyl group; R<SP>3</SP>is a halogen atom or a lower alkyl group which may be substituted with one or more halogen atoms; R<SP>4</SP>is a lower alkoxycarbonyl group or S(O)<SB>n</SB>R<SP>5</SP>(wherein, R<SP>5</SP>is a lower alkyl group which may be substituted with one or more halogen atoms; and n is an integer of 0-2); and m is an integer of 0-4] has the excellent controlling activities against the pest.
