PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aromatic hydrocarbon from light hydrocarbons containing a≤7C light hydrocarbon as a main component as a raw material in a sufficiently high yield. SOLUTION: This method for producing the aromatic hydrocarbon, comprising bringing a raw material containing a 2 to 7C light hydrocarbon as a main component into contact with a catalyst composition containing at least gallium-containing crystalline aluminosilicate, is characterized in that a reaction process for converting into the aromatic hydrocarbon comprises at least two or more reaction layers comprising the catalyst composition and arranged in series, and a heating means disposed between the reaction layers or in the reaction layers, and the catalyst content of the first step reaction layer is≤30 vol.% based on the total content of the catalyst.
