PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide aromatic amines and a simple and efficient method for producing them. SOLUTION: The (1-methyl-2,2,2-trifluoro)ethylamines expressed by general formula (1) [wherein, Ar is an aromatic group] is produced by obtaining imines expressed by general formula (2) by reacting arylamines with 2-bromo-3,3,3-trifluoropropene in the presence of a palladium catalyst and a base, and then hydrogenating.
