PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent temperature of piled up clothes kept inside a drum on the way of drying from being elevated to abnormally high temperature by heat accumulating action to prevent spontaneous ignition by oxidation and heat accumulation even when oil and fat remain in clothes to raise safety. SOLUTION: When a door is closed (S10-S14) after being opened during drying operation, a control that a drum is stopped for a predetermined time Ta (for instance, 4 minutes 50 seconds) from the operation of a start key to an instruction of operation restart and then cool air is supplied to the drum by rotating the drum for a predetermined time (for instance, 10 seconds) and driving a fan is repeated (S15-S20). Heat accumulated in the piled up clothes may be diffused by cooling air blown to the clothes agitated by drum rotation to prevent abnormal temperature elevation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
