PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod ameliorating uneasiness, etc., in waiting bite by improving grip portion of the butt rod. SOLUTION: The fishing rod is provided with magnets 2A, 2B installed on the tip side and hand side of the grip portion 1A on the rod axis direction of the butt rod 1. The fishing tool is provided with magnets 3A, 3B attached on a pair of gloves and constituted to generate a supporting force for supporting the butt rod 1 by a magnetic force acting between the magnet 2A on the rod tip side of the grip portion and a magnet 3A on the glove for rod tip side grip located to counter to the magnet 2A on the rod tip side of the grip portion, and a magnetic force acting between the magnet 2B of the butt side grip portion on the butt rod side and a magnet 3B on the glove for butt side grip located to counter to the magnet 2B on the rod butt side of the grip portion.
