The method involves monitoring data flows (114, 116) through a media access control (MAC) bridge port (102), where one of the data flow is arranged in the direction of a user and another data flow comes from the direction of the user. The data flows are adjusted based on given parameters (110, 112), respectively, where the data flows are conformable with the respective given parameters during the outflow from the MAC bridge port. An independent claim is also included for a computer program product for regulation of data flow in an optical network terminal.
