DIGITAL BROADCAST RECEIVER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time from reception start to reproduction start of videos and audios without uselessly discarding packets acquired before receiving channel selection information of a transport stream transmitted from a broadcast station.

SOLUTION: A digital broadcast receiver is provided with a demultiplexer 105 demultiplexing a transport stream (TS) in which a plurality of packets received from a broadcast station are multiplexed into individual packets; a stream recording memory 106 for storing the individual packets demultiplexed in the demultiplexer 105 simultaneously with the start of receiving the transport stream; and a channel selection control unit 104 for controlling the demultiplexer 105, so that the stream of the packets previously stored in the stream recording memory 106 can be extracted upon receiving the channel selection after starting reception of the transport stream.
