<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for achieving effective mixing, when mixing three or more sound sources, in particular, a natural sound, music and audio contents. <P>SOLUTION: The mixing apparatus includes a natural sound database, a schedule means and an automatic volume control means for sounding tones similar to nature in the room for 24 hours for 365 days, wherein in accordance with a reproducing plan predetermined by the schedule means, one or more natural sound files are read from the natural sound database, and natural sounds suitable for the date/time and the place are reproduced. Furthermore, the mixing apparatus includes a music database and a variable-speed audio database, and the schedule means reads and reproduces a music file or the variable-speed audio database, in accordance with a predetermined reproducing plan. The automatic volume control means reduces the volume of the natural sound to be lower than that of music or variable-speed audio.
