PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a load change arising when a charging roll is brought into pressure contact with an image holder and to inexpensively separate a charging roll from the image holder. SOLUTION: A charging unit 50 is disposed so as to be attachable to or detachable from a photoreceptor unit 110. The charging unit 50 includes: lever members 54, each of which is rotatably supported by a shaft part 56 at its one end; the charging roll 24 supported near the middle of the corresponding lever member 54; and a weight member 58 disposed at the other end of the lever member 54. In the photoreceptor unit 110, bearing members 104 for a photoreceptor drum 12 are provided with a guide rail 120 in the direction in which the charging unit 50 is pulled out. An upward horizontal part 120 which projects upward, is formed in the middle of the guide rail 120. When the charging unit 50 is pulled out, the lever members 54 slide on the guide rails 120 and are pushed upward. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
