PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital displacement measuring device capable of preventing overstroke of a spindle regardless of an engaging means comprising an engaging key and a key groove, preventing damage of a component even if the spindle is retreated suddenly by an excessive force, and preventing a measurement error. SOLUTION: This digital displacement measuring device is characterized by including the first locking part 41 provided on the body 10 side separately from a component of an encoder 30, and the second locking part 42 abutting on the first locking part 41 by being moved synchronously with the spindle 20, and by having an overstroke preventing mechanism 40 for regulating forward/backward movement of the spindle 20 when both locking parts 41, 42 abut thereon.
