PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer for a reactor capable of reducing loss by reducing leakage magnetic flux generated at the circumferential edge of a gap and improving energy conversion efficiency by reducing the uneven distribution of magnetic flux density, and the reactor employing the spacer. SOLUTION: The spacer 7 for the reactor interposed between a plurality of core blocks 4a and 4b configuring a circular core is formed by dispersing a powdery magnetic material in a base material formed of a non-magnetic material.
